As Christians we are 'in Christ'. Our true and authentic self is found 'in Christ'. Our role is to seek God in a way that reveals our authentic self to the world around us in a way that isn't tainted by the expectations of society.

As we read through Scripture we see the inspiration of the Spirit in humanity over a particular time frame. God is still moving and the encouragement is that, when we look, we can see the inspiration of God still very much active in our world today.

Our brains have the ability to be 'rewired' in order for our thinking to align with the thoughts that God has about us. The renewing of our mind is something that we can proactively implement into our every day life and it's a discipline that God wants to use for His Good and for our benefit.
